description
A hydrocyclone consists of
a cylindrical upper part provided with an inlet and an overflow
and a conical shaped house with an underflow-drain. Slurry is pumped
tangentially into the cyclone. Centrifugal action forces the heavier
solids outward against the cyclone wall and subsequentley downward
through the drain. Lighter particles and most of the fluid are discharged
through the overflow.

NIVOBA multi-cycloneblocks
consist of synthetic blocks with integrated hydrocyclones (10
or 15 mm). Each cyclone is fitted with an overflow nipple or a
plug. The block is mounted in a stainless steel housing with bolted
or hinged cover. The housing is provided with feed-, overflow-
and drain connections. The capacity per block is easily adaptable
by adjusting the number of plugs or nipples.
