Waste water valorization

Nivoba recently sold two turn-key  MVR / water purification systems enabling total recycle of  water in the starch process. The system fully complies with the increasing demands for sustainability in the starch industry.

Waste water from the starch industry contains soluble and fine solid waste such as ashes, protein, and other organics. The water with relatively high BOD and COD levels is often disposed to conventional aerob and anaerob treatment systems or UASB systems for winning of biogas. The effluent is still poluted and must be disposed of at cost. By adopting the Nivoba combined MVR/purification unit the operator benefits from the elimination of waste water treatment and discharge costs and foremost the cost of fresh water intake.
